Charles W. (West)
Francus is a senior consultant and management executive who brings more than two decades of professional experience to the management of financially distressed and underperforming companies. He has successfully completed assignments in turnarounds, workouts, interim management and business assessments.
Mr. Francus has served clients in a broad range of industries including light and heavy manufacturing, mining, mail order, software development, gambling and construction. His manufacturing experience encompasses textile, primary and fabricated metals, automotive, construction, electrical, electronics, foods, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics and heavy equipment. He brings strong operational, financial and general management skills to each respective assignment, and has directly led or assisted in several turnarounds of businesses with revenues ranging from $10 million to $200 million. Recent interim-management assignments have included serving as VP of Operations of a $400 million mining company, Controller of a $25 million software-development company, and VP of Operations of an $80 million cosmetic manufacturer.
Prior to entering consulting, Mr. Francus was employed as a senior manager (Division President, Corporate CFO, and Corporate VP of Manufacturing and Engineering) in several privately and publicly held companies. He was instrumental in improving profits, cash flow, and sales and operations management in each of his positions.
Mr. Francus is a graduate of Ohio State University. The author of several management articles, he holds certifications in Public Accounting and Production/Inventory Management, and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
