Jeffrey A. Beunier has extensive accounting- and finance-related experience, including the development and implementation of strategic distressed debt expansion business plans; distressed investment portfolio management; and restructuring debt in a variety of asset classifications. He has originated and underwritten more than $250 million in investment transactions and managed energy investments in the mining, upstream and midstream sectors.
Jeffrey helped establish Open Choke Capital Management, LLC, an energy consulting and investment firm, in 2007. Since the firm’s inception, he has taken part in advisory assignments in the service and exploration sectors, resulting in the placement of $37 million in capital.
As vice president and portfolio director of Madison Capital Management, LCC from 2005 to 2007, Jeffery managed the firm’s largest and most complex investments. He trained the firm’s analysts, advised clients in workout strategy and risk mitigation and was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing distressed investment opportunities.
Jeffrey also worked as a senior underwriter and asset officer at Summit Investment Management; as vice president and senior special asset officer at Washington Mutual Bank; and as a senior auditor at KPMG LLP.
Jeffrey is a certified public accountant and certified insolvency and restructuring advisor. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University. |
