Morris Anderson Executives Recognized As Top Turnaround Professionals

CHICAGO, July 17, 2017 — MorrisAnderson’s Chief Executive Officer Dan Dooley and Director Mark Briden were recently honored with top industry accolades: Dooley was recognized as a Top 100 Corporate Restructuring Dealmaker by Global M&A Network, and Briden earned an Emerging Leader Award in the Service Provider category by The M&A Advisor. Headquartered in Chicago, MorrisAnderson has successfully been working with underperforming and distressed companies since its founding in 1980.

Dooley, MorrisAnderson’s CEO and principal, is well recognized for his many contributions to the corporate turnaround and restructuring industry. A frequent speaker at national conferences, Dooley has been on the board of directors for the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and Turnaround Management Association (TMA), in addition to being a past president of the TMA 1,000+ member Chicago chapter.

According to Global M&A Network, the Top 100 is an editorial list that features the most accomplished, brilliant and innovative consultants, investment bankers and lawyers from the global restructuring, distressed M&A, bankruptcy and insolvency industries. Inclusion in the list is also an acknowledgement of MorrisAnderson’s firm-wide expertise, unique capabilities and preeminent status for consistently advising on restructuring transactions and assignments to effect value creating outcomes.

Briden, a CPA, provides financial and operational advice to underperforming and distressed companies to help facilitate corporate turnarounds and restructurings – both out-of-court and through bankruptcy proceedings. Most recently, Briden led a successful 16-month bankruptcy and turnaround process for a manufacturing client with $40 million of debt, where he served as financial advisor, CFO and investment banker, all of which led to confirming a plan of reorganization and emerging as a reorganized company.

The M&A Advisor originally created the Emerging Leader Award as the 40 Under 40 award to recognize and celebrate the achievements of young M&A, financing and turnaround professionals. Briden was chosen for his accomplishments and expertise from a pool of nominees by an independent judging panel of distinguished business leaders, and now joins fellow MorrisAnderson colleague Mark Iammartino, who earned the recognition in 2014.
