Akash Amin, CTP, is a Director at MorrisAnderson. He brings an extensive background in the mergers & acquisitions, transaction advisory services, and restructuring industries and uses such experience to provide structured practical solutions through comprehensive financial analysis.
Prior to joining MorrisAnderson, Akash was a Senior Associate in the Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) group at Grant Thornton LLP, a public accounting and financial advisory firm, where he performed buy and sell-side M&A financial due diligence, strategic advisory, post-acquisition operational integration, as well as private equity business development. He led the private equity business development initiative within TAS by optimizing key relationships with high-revenue clientele firm-wide.
He is a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), and Co-Chair of the Turnaround Management Association’s (TMA) NextGen committee. Akash graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Gies College of Business.

Akash assists clients by providing a broad range of the firm’s financial and operational advisory services including performance improvement, turnarounds, workouts, sell-side transaction services, litigation support, insolvency services, and wind-downs for distressed and bankrupt companies. He consults directly with management and senior financial staff to provide accurate cash flow projections, operational analyses, budgets, and business valuations to evaluate, support, and help implement strategic decisions in crisis situations. He has also held interim-management positions as a CFO and Financial Advisor with under-performing and bankrupt companies and has optimized recoveries in liquidations and receivership.

- Managed numerous successful workout negotiations within a single debt portfolio for a Fortune 100 client by recovering $30M+ of impairment loss
- Managed the operational wind-down and RCM of a US publicly traded healthcare company consisting of hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers and various other healthcare facilities in Texas and Arizona
- Prepared statistical models for successful bankruptcy litigation on preference period transactions netting approximately $1M savings for client
